Jasam Floral Sundries and Dos Castillas Flower Market Association recently conducted the 3rd Amateur Floral Arrangement Competition right in the heart of the Dangwa Flower Market last June 26, 2007.

Eleven amateur floral arrangers from all over Metro Manila and Subic competed for the title in three floral arranging rounds: the traditional cascading wedding bouquet, the round-low floral centerpiece and the “surprise package” which turned out to be a mini dish garden.

Leomar Inocente was awarded top honors seconded by Roy Villacura, followed by Ariel Binitua for third place. Inocente won the Round Centerpiece and Mini Garden rounds while Villacura won in the Bouquet. The other amateur floral arrangers who participated in the competition include Raul Villaflores, Joenald Quite, Ronnie Roquero, Noel Maralit, Erick Mejia, Cecily Chang, Christine Choy and Tracy Tai.

The competition was judged by three of Manila’s prestigious floral arrangers and designers namely: Floral Architect Rachy Cuna, top floral designer and event stylist Tony Padilla and multi-title holder of various floral competitions Teresa “Bombeth” Robles.

Winners received cash prizes, trophies, publications from Jasam Floral Sundries, and gift certificates. Inocente was also awarded a copy of Rachy Cuna’s latest floral arranging book.

Jasam was represented by its President John Ong. Other Jasam Executives present were Susie Ong, Rannie Lim, April Ong and Weng Gagarin.The Dos Castillas Flower Market Association was represented by its current president Clifford Ticong. The Association’s list of officers include Lawrence de la Rosa (Vice President), Andres Fajardo (Secretary), Ceary de la Cruz (Treasurer) and Board Members  Agapita Pamulaklakin, Nora Capuloy, Baby Santos and Ruel Macasaet.
